Kubb is a Swedish throwing game where two teams take turns hurling wooden batons at the opponent's kubbs -- rectangular blocks lined up on their side of the field. Knock them all down, then you get a shot at the king in the center. Hit the king before you've cleared the kubbs and you lose instantly, which is exactly as painful as it sounds. It takes about five minutes to explain and about five rounds before everyone is deeply invested in their team's strategy. The kind of game that works with four people or ten, serious players or people who've never heard of it. Best on flat grass with enough room to set up the full field.

RULES & SAFETY
Count all the pieces back into the bag before returning. The king is the tall one in the middle and it is not a baton, do not throw it.
